Trying to Sleep, Can't Silence My Thoughts
Today's post will be veering slightly off from the norm - this track is neither house nor trance. Whether I would even classify it as a dance cut is something that would require further contemplation and tonight.. that's not going to happen. While browsing YouTube for tracks from The Potbelleez (Australian band), I came upon The Preset's "This Boy's In Love":

I know nothing about The Preset's. My first impressions - 1) they remind me of a new age Depeche Mode, 2) video = soft-core gay porn (!!), and finally 3) Green Man needs to see a dentist - homie's teeth appear to be erroding away due to decay (*gag*).
Continuing on with tonight's beyond random musical selections, we have Ladyhawke's "Dusk till Dawn":

Again, I haven't the slightest clue who Ladyhawke is. Is Ladyhawke the name of the band or does the name "Ladyhawke" refer singularly to the fetching lead singer? Speaking of the lead singer, 1980s Heather Locklear called and she wants her hair back. Thank god back-combing and feathered layers have gone out.. I have to admit, this song disapoints me. How can a song with the lyrics "bang, bang, bang on the wall from dusk till dawn" seem so innocent? Step up your game Ladyhawke, this song could have been legendary had you just amped up the perv factor.

The Trackosphere Goes Electro!
Rockin' Out with the Duo of Spencer & Hill
Tonight on the Trackosphere, I will be showcasing the talents of Spencer & Hill. First up, we've got the Spencer & Hill Remix of Cezar's "Keep on Tryin":
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rbH9dk5GGRM
This track appeals to me on several levels - though I am not the biggest fan of electro, which I oftentimes I find too brash and mind-numbingly repetitive. With this track, the vocals keep in mainstream enough to be club-friendly. Next, because I can't go one post without a shout-out to my boys of Above & Beyond, we have the Spencer & Hill rework of Above & Beyond's "For All I Care":
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2M94lrXR9Os&feature=related
I have to give props to Spencer & Hill - they took a song from A&B (which is playing with fire), and completely made it their own. To check out the original Above & Beyond version of "For All I Care" for comparison, click on the link below:

Back to the Tracks!
Beunos dias mi amigos!
After a lonnng multi-month break, I am back to the Trackosphere, once again making an attempt to bring my phenomenal musical taste to the masses. Today I will be hitting you with three tracks stolen from my boys of Above & Beyond. Played during episode 230 of Trance Around the World, these three tracks are KILLER, and by KILLER, I mean KILLER!!! First up, we have Purple Mood's "Chinese Theatre" (DJ Shah & DJ Cosmo Original Mix).
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rbIurLnCx6o
How can you not love it.. Purple Mood can be pretty prime. For further evidence of their ability to spit out a hot track - check out Purple Mood's "One Night in Tokyo". Next up, we have the Myon & Shane 54 Dub Mix of Nalin & Kane's "Beachball".
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=91yeHbMOs5Y
This track just screams summer, beaches and mohitos. For those of you stuck in the Northern Hemisphere, let Myon & Shane 54 help you forget that we are mere months away from drowning in snowdrifts and aching from the cold. Continuing on, my last featured track is the Gareth Emery rework of Andrew Bennett's "Closer (Than a Heartbeat)". Vocals for this banger were provided by the ubiquitous Tiff Lacey.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IeA_ySotW4A&feature=related
I have to give it up to Tiff Lacey for her work on this one - the woman brought the sexy for this track. Nadia Ali better watch her back, Tiff might start giving her a run for her money. Check out Nadia's work on "Crash & Burn" for a comparison.

If listening to the tracks from today's post leaves you wanting more, check out the newest episode of Trance Around the World with Above & Beyond - www.aboveandbeyond.nu. While many may disagree, I have argued, and will continue to contend, that Above & Beyond are the hottest DJs on the trance scene ;)

Welcome to the Tracko-sphere!
Holla bitches!
Welcome to the Trackosphere! I have created the Trackosphere as a way to disseminate my superior musical tastes into the Blogosphere - like they say, if you got it, flaunt it! From now on, whenever I come across any tracks which get me going, I'll be posting them for y'alls listening pleasure here on the Trackosphere - so check back often! You never know what kind of fierceness you may find. So let's get on with the show.. and we'll be kicking it off with the Spencer & Hill re-worked "Borderline" by Michael Gray:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ffz0Dec7hOQ
Those of you who are familiar with Michael Gray are well aware that he is the music man behind "Borderline" and of course, "The Weekend". Whether he's known more for his catchy, club-friendly tracks or his videos featuring skantily clad office workers is debateable. For those of you feeling nostalgic - here's my present to you:

From the Trackosphere to kick of the workweek - "I can't waiiit for the weekend to begin!"
